-
- : Does anyone know of any Internet Service Providers in the U.S. (greater Boston
- : area) that have some support for the Amiga? A company that won't say "What
- : is that, a PC clone?", or worse, make some ignorant comment about how
- : underpowered they think the Amiga is?
-
- hmm - i don know - but what you can do is find a very nice friendly
- server that will answer any tech. question ...if you get satuck, come to
- this group for help (we will help you) all you have to do is get all the
- s/w from aminet /comm/net and install it...when it askes for a certain
- number (eg SMTPHOST, NNTP, DNS etc ) phone up your server
- provider...they SHOULD give you the numbers you need, if not, then leave
- them.
-
- : I'm basically just interested in a Unix shell account that I can run Mlink
- : on. (Of course I'm also interested in low monthly rates, easy access,
- : unlimited hours, etc.)
-
- a unix shell should be very easy....BUT some providers are unwilling
- to compile MLink at their end - cos you are ripping them off by getting
- a SLIP for a shell-price... you could always fob them off....say its
- prequired to allow your terminal to access the serial port for more than
- 5 minutes or something ;)
